A way to enter cruise control with out having to dangerously keep looking down to hold a speed for what seems like a really long time

There a great number of times while riding my scoot er that cruise control is a lovely feature love it every time I use it, however I also dread engaging the cruise control. Should be rice if I could hit a bottom with either hand 1x,2x, or 3x and have cruse control active
